Where Have I Been? Re-Launch Party and Giveaway

No I was not kidnapped by aliens or vampires or ruffians.  I got a new job.  A job that has been taking a lot of my time and attention.  But this weekend, I made a promise to myself that I had to get back to doing some of the things that I loved to do--and not just think about work all of the time.  So I am re-dedicating myself to being here more often to blog about books.

As I get back into the groove of things, you may notice a couple of changes.  First, I really want to focus on reading some of the books I have at home and not focus solely on new titles.  To this end, I will be reviewing at least one book a week that I have at home that has been in print for more than a year.  Second, I want to bring back my books to movie reviews.  To this end, I will be reviewing at least one movie that is based on a book (generally a book I have read previously).  Finally, I have made a goal to read more short stories/novellas, so I want to review at least one of them a week as well.  These are ambitious goals--but I will definitely enjoy the journey to meet these goals.

But for the moment, I want to celebrate my Re-Launch party so I am going to do a giveaway for a $15 e-gift card to Amazon.

For this giveaway, I want you all to comment in this post and tell me what book or short story or novella you have really loved this year that you think I should read (you can have up to 3 entries by listing three separate books--and you can link to your reviews of the books if you have one).  I will make it my goal to work through all of the books listed.  For extra entries, you can also tweet about this giveaway/call for suggestions and leave a comment with the tweet's url (limit one additional entry per day).

The giveaway will close on November 18, 2011.
