Question of the Week: Go count the number of unread books sitting on your shelf. How many?
I wish my books were sitting neatly on a shelf. They are in piles and in boxes. But if I had to make a guess, I would say that I have at least 100 books. This is a big part of the reason I have set the TBR Intervention as one of my big new years resolutions for 2012. I want to get some of the books I have on hand cleared out (maybe then I can justify buying more books?)
I would also like to finally finish some of the series that I have started, that I liked, but that I have not been able finish:
Do you have any series that you started and liked but have not finished the books that are out? If you have read the series above, which one would you recommend I finish first?

ReplyDeleteYou know it's getting bad when you need an "intervention" Lol

I have started a ton of series, and some of them I am three to four books behind. I always feel like they are sitting around going, 'what about me?'

I have a lot of boxed up books, too, so I can definitely relate. I have a few series I have started, and I've gotten behind on as well.
ReplyDelete@Lynsey You are right...it is bad enough for an intervention!
ReplyDelete@Beth Exactly...they are all calling to me saying "why not me?"
@Sidne I am so jealous that you only have 23 books on your shelf! That is my TBR intervention dream!
@Jessica I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I finish one book on my TBR pile. :)
@Melliane I know--and the library is not helping!
@Kary thank you for following!
@Jennifer I really want to get caught up on the series!
I need an intervention too...I just can't stop!

My TBR pile is not that big, but I have a lot of series I need to finish up. These days I'm thrilled to find a standalone book!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on reading the books I have this year!
ReplyDelete@aLmYbNeNr Join us in our intervention. You will feel so much better once you do!
ReplyDelete@Jen I love standalone books...or even better books like Sarah Dessen where the characters may intertwine but if you haven't read the books before you aren't missing big aspects of the story!
@Rebecca It has been great because I figured out why I got the books--usually because someone told me it was awesome and they were right!
ReplyDeleteHopping through. Definitely finish Vampire Academy. It's great. I need to finish Morganville too.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
Same here. I want to read mine already so I can get more. LOL and I have to finish the exact same series. LOL. following back!
ReplyDelete@Alison It would be more accurate to say start Vampire Academy. I am that far behind! :)
ReplyDelete@Kah I am so glad to know I am not alone in needing to read these series. :)
Thanks for hopping by. That is a big TBR pile and good luck on meetng your goals this year on that pile! Follower now too...love your design
ReplyDelete@Christy Thank you. :) I am hopeful that by December 2012 my pile will be so much better. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I plan on focusing more on my already owned books this year too, but I can't seem to stop buying new ones. I need to join a book buyers anonymous!
ReplyDelete@Pawing Through Books: I am sure book buyers anonymous would have a lot of members in a very short period of time. :)
