TBR Intervention (5): Better Late than Never Right?

First I have to admit that I was a big fail on the TBR Intervention this week.  It will almost look like I did not read anything this week--but I did!  I just did not finish any of it.  :(

Last Week

I am over halfway through this book--and so far I am intrigued and still in the dark as to "who-dun-it."

I am about halfway through this book--and I feel as though John Green is going to quickly become a favorite author of mine!

Not even close to halfway done with this one--but I expected that.  It is a long audiobook.  But I do love it!  And I am having a lot better time listening to this one as an audiobook than I have had in the past trying to read it.

Next Week
I am going to finish at least some (if not all) of the books from last week, but I do have to add one that I started last night after attending the Dark Days of Supernatural tour stop.  I have to finish:

Summary:

Since she’d been on the outside, she’d survived an Aether storm, she’d had a knife held to her throat, and she’d seen men murdered. This was worse.

Exiled from her home, the enclosed city of Reverie, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland—known as The Death Shop—are slim. If the cannibals don’t get her, the violent, electrified energy storms will. She’s been taught that the very air she breathes can kill her. Then Aria meets an Outsider named Perry. He’s wild—a savage—and her only hope of staying alive.

A hunter for his tribe in a merciless landscape, Perry views Aria as sheltered and fragile—everything he would expect from a Dweller. But he needs Aria’s help too; she alone holds the key to his redemption. Opposites in nearly every way, Aria and Perry must accept each other to survive. Their unlikely alliance forges a bond that will determine the fate of all who live under the never sky.

In her enthralling debut, Veronica Rossi sends readers on an unforgettable adventure set in a world brimming with harshness and beauty.

What do you plan to read this week?

  4. I've never listened to Tolkien on audiobook, but I'd imagine that it'd be somewhat easier, listening to the page long descriptions instead of getting lost in them on the page... lol.

John Green. There's been so much buzz about him lately, that I guess I should probably read something of his :)

I have Under the Never Sky from NetGalley, but haven't started it yet. Hope it's awesome! :) Good luck!

  5. When I tried to read the Lord of the Rings trilogy--I did get lost in those page long descriptions. It surprised me because I did not have any trouble reading The Hobbit the many times I have read it!

I am quickly falling in love with John Green's stories. I am definitely going to be reading more.

So far I love the very visual imagery in Under the Never Sky. :)
